Hi, I'm Jeff. I started writing production code in the 1990s, back when a website was still a novelty. Since then I've built through the early commercial web, the dot-com correction, the rise of enterprise SaaS, the mobile shift, and now the move to AI-native systems. Three decades in, I still enjoy the work as much as I did on day one.
devlab6 exists because I got tired of watching agencies choose between cheap-and-unreliable and expensive-and-impersonal. I built something in between: senior-level engineering with no layers between you and the person actually doing the work.
I keep the team intentionally small. As projects grow, I bring in specialists I've worked with for years, people I trust the same way I trust my own work. That means you get the right person for the job, not a rotating cast of whoever's on the bench.
I don't chase or push trendy tech. If AI can save your team real hours, I'll show you how. If WordPress is genuinely the right answer, I'll say so. If it isn't, I won't force it. My job is to give you the honest answer, not the most billable one.

We evaluate every technical decision through the lens of business outcome. The best technology is the one that achieves the goal, not the most interesting, the most modern, or the one we prefer.
Engineering quality is non-negotiable.
We don't ship code we're not proud of. Every project gets senior engineers, peer review, and automated testing. Quality isn't a tier. It's the baseline.
Confidentiality is foundational.
Our agency partners trust us with their most sensitive client relationships. We treat that trust as the most important thing we protect, not just legally, but operationally.
Honest counsel over comfortable agreement.
If a technical approach is wrong for the project, we say so, even when it's not what you want to hear. Agencies need partners who give them the real answer, not the easy one.
Long-term thinking over short-term wins.
We'd rather design a system that lasts five years than ship something in half the time that needs to be rebuilt. Our partners come back because we build things that hold up.
